A few word from the Governor of Maiano on the Boheme Opera Project.
The La Boheme Project:
This Opera has been most aptly chosen in as much as it evokes many themes which re-echo prison experience: friendship, solidarity, suffering and deprivation.
The emotional participation of the detainees is strikingly intense. This has greatly enhanced the entire work. The sensation which both operators and detainees receive is more intense during the activity rather than the aftermath, that is the final result.
Above all we are interested in the course of the experience, the creation of participation in all-important themes, an opportunity for reflection and confrontation, through the widest possible spectrum of means of communication.
